우리는 이중성 속에 산다. 딱딱하고 무거운 구조물들 사이 그에 반하는 우리 존재의 부드럽게 흐르는 겹겹의 레이어들. 나는 이것을 ‘허물’이라 본다. 평범한 일상이 변형을 거쳐 영원한 무언가로 뒤바뀌는 그 찰나의 순간 말이다.

종이는 인류 문명의 목격자다. 언어와 역사, 법률, 그리고 지루한 일상까지도 모두 그 안에 담겨 있다. 종이라는 일상적인 물질을 구부리고 접으며, 그것을 비일상적인 영역으로 확장시킨다.

사진 속 화이트페이퍼 조각의 구조들은 제2의 피부가 된다. 그것은 몸의 연장이자, 우리의 사유와 언어가 생물학적 형태로부터 어떻게 돋아나는지를 보여주는 형상이다. 

여기서 종이는 단순히 표면에 머물지 않는다. 그것은 피부이자, 시간이다. 우리가 이 세상에서 어떻게 움직이는지, 무엇을 남기는지, 인간의 창조물에 의해 역으로 어떻게 인간이 변형되는지에 대한 질문을 던진다.

We live in duality: the hard, heavy structures we build versus the soft, shedding layers of who we are.I see this as a "molting”, that fleeting moment where the ordinary everyday transforms into something timeless.

Paper is the witness to our civilization, It carries our language, our history, our laws, our mundane everyday. By bending and folding this familiar material, I expand it into the extraordinary. In the photographs, white paper structures become a second skin. They are an extension of the body, representing the way our thoughts and language grow out of our biological forms.

Here, paper is not just a surface. It is skin. It is time. It carries the question of how we move through this world, what we leave behind, and how we are constantly reshaped by the very structures we create.
